We’ve just received word that City Council staff has confirmed that the Council may vote on the Manhattan CB9 197-a Plan and the Columbia expansion plan as early as this Wednesday. This despite the fact that Councilmember Tony Avella urged the Council to take time to deliberate and make their decision carefully, and the deadline for their decision is not until January. There is a full Council meeting scheduled for this Wednesday at 1:30 pm. Info to come… !

Since 2000, The Task Force has been leading the effort to create a more meaningful role for communities in New York City’s planning and decision-making processes.
