After a controversial meeting cancellation back in November, the Coney Island Development Corporation has rescheduled community information sessions/hearings about the proposed rezoning of the area for tonight and tomorrow. According to the CIDC, representatives from that organization and the Department of City Planning will give a 30-minute presentation, then the public will be allowed to ask questions and make comments (time limit three minutes each). Note that these hearings are not part of the official ULURP review, but rather are a chance for public comments to be heard before that process even begins.
The meeting schedule is as follows:
Monday, January 7, 2008
6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Lincoln High School Auditorium
2800 Ocean Parkway, Brooklyn
Tuesday, January 8, 2008

Coney Island Hospital Auditorium
2601 Ocean Parkway, Brooklyn
Tuesday, January 8, 2008
