As we previously noted, in late January, over 800 people showed up to a community meeting about St. Vincent’s Hospital’s plans for expansion in Greenwich Village (which include demolition of buildings located in the Greenwich Village Historic District, and construction of market-rate housing, as well as an expansion of the medical facilities). Noting the large amount of public interest in this development, New York State Senator Tom Duane, Congressmember Jerrold Nadler and Manhattan Community Board 2 have developed an online survey for community members and other interested parties, which will help guide them as they “will be negotiating for concessions.”

Find the survey online here, and more information about St. Vincent’s expansion plan here.

In addition, there will be another public hearing on the development at the Community Board on Monday, February 25th at 6:30 pm at P.S. 41, 116 West 11th Street.
