Last week’s New York Times reported on efforts to monitor water quality in and around NYC. The conclusion, “When the water is good it is surprisingly good, but when it is bad, it’s not safe to splash on skin.”

Task Force Members Lower East Side Ecology Center have created a survey for organizations and individuals that do water quality testing in New York City, which is online here. They would like to collect results by August 1. For questions or comments, contact Tara DePorte, Program Director at tara@lesecologycenter.org or (212)477-4022.
