The West Side Neighborhood Alliance is an organization sponsored by Housing Conservation Coordinators that promotes activism in Chelsea, Clinton/Hell’s Kitchen, and the Upper West Side. Beginning tonight, they are holding a series of trainings for local residents en Espanol. These include:

“Our city, our power ” – How the New York City government works and its structure: THURSDAY, September 4, 2008 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm

“The secrets of winning campaigns” – Learn strategies to win what we want and have elected officials work with us and for us: THURSDAY, September 18, 2008 from 6:30 to 8:00pm

“Tenants rights” – Learn about the laws and the rights we have as tenants: THURSDAY, October 16, 2008 from 6:30 to 8:00pm

“Community Board 4” – Learn how Community Board 4 works for us and for our community: THURSDAY, October 30, 2008 from 6:30 to 8:00pm

“The future of WSNA” – How to build a strong organization that can win real victories for the neighborhood: THURSDAY, November 13, 2008 from 6:30 to 8:00pm
