City Room (I know, these days it seems like the only site we ever link!) has coverage of Monday’s panel at the Museum of the City of New York, titled, “New York for Sale: Are Developers Overbuilding?” The panel saw Task Force Executive Committee member Tom Angotti, who heads the Hunter College Center for Community Planning and Development, and who recently authored the book New York For Sale: Community Planning Confronts Global Real Estate, facing off with Real Estate Board of New York President Steven Spinola. Other panelists were developer Yvonne R. Isaac and another Task Force member, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer.
We encourage you to check out this interesting recap, and to attend the Municipal Art Society Planning Center’s book launch and author talk with Mr. Angotti on Tuesday, November 18 from 6:30-8:30pm at the MAS Urban Center, 457 Madison Avenue. The event is free and reservations can be made by calling 212-935-2075.
